GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF), GMA Network’s socio-civic arm, received a donation from Alaska Milk Corporation, a pioneer in promoting good nutrition in the country, to extend aid in GMAKF’s “Give-A-Gift: Feed a Child Project.”
The project is a 6-month feeding program which aims to improve the nutritional status of over 300 undernourished children by helping them achieve their ideal weight and height for their age.
“The KF feeding program, first devised by Mel Tiangco in 2004 and continued yearly to this day, is done by the Kapuso Foundation to help combat malnutrition and stunted growth among our children. We need to secure the future of our country by nourishing our youth,” said GMAKF EVP and COO Rikki Escudero-Catibog.
Joining Escudero-Catibog in the donation turnover was GMAKF Founder and Ambassador Mel C. Tiangco together with Alaska Milk Corporation’s Brand Manager Maxine Lauren M. Lozada, Marketing Services Manager Raymond R. Nacino, and Assistant Media Manager Karen M. Ventosa.
Lozada, on the other hand, voiced her appreciation of GMAKF’s dedication and she also expressed her thanks to GMAKF for partnering with Alaska in this crucial advocacy. “We have the shared vision of bringing affordable nutrition to children and making milk drinking accessible to communities that really need them. Thank you to GMA Kapuso Foundation for giving us an avenue to help contribute in uplifting the nutritional state of Filipino children.”
