Severe Tropical Storm “Tomas” (international name “Man-yi”) has continued to weaken as it reentered the Philippine Area of Responsibility Monday morning.
In its 11 am bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Tomas was expected to weaken into a tropical storm, is not expected to make landfall, and has no direct effect on any part of the country.
Tomas was last observed at 1,195 kilometers east of Aparri, Cagayan with maximum sustained winds of 90 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 115 kph.

Sea travels will be risky on the northern seaboard of Northern Luzon and the eastern Luzon and the Visayas due to very rough seas associated with the surge of the northeast monsoon.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon is affecting northern Luzon.
Ilocos, Cordillera, and Cagayan Valley regions would have partly cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by the northeast monsoon.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
Temperature in Metro Manila ranges from 23-32 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City 23-31; Baguio City 14-24; Metro Cebu 25-31; and Metro Davao 24-33.
