Dock workers help lift pipes leading to the JS Akebono (DD-108), the Japanese Marine Self-Defense Force’s Murasame-class destroyer, which arrived Thursday at Pier 15 of Manila’s South Harbor for a three-day goodwill visit to the country. The ship, headed by Captain Josuke Nakamura, has about 200 officers and crew on board with two SH-60K patrol helicopters on deck.
