Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez (standing) encourages overseas Filipino workers and their relatives to use remittances in starting their own businesses back home to take advantage of the fast-growing economy under the Duterte administration. The forum was one of the sidelines of the Philippine government’s trade and investment roadshow in London on Sept. 21 to 26. Lopez, along with Philippine Franchise Association president Richard Sanz and PFA director Chris Lim, pitched franchising as a viable business model during the Kapihan sa Pasuguan in London.
