Three queens

Filipinas stood tall on the world stage last week. Zara Carbonell (right) was crowned Miss Tourism Worldwide 2018 on Sept. 9 in the inaugural edition of the beauty pageant, making her an ambassador for tourism and culture around the world. One day later, Hannahlei Cabanilla (main photo) emerged victorious in Season 15 of the US television show ‘So You Think You Can Dance,’ besting four other dancers. Finally, on Sept. 8, model Kelsey Merritt (left), a Filipino-American like Cabanilla, received confirmation that she would be the first Filipina to walk in the famed Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show scheduled in late November.  Photos from their Instagram pages
