Balanga City—The Bataan Peninsula Lions Club and other local sponsors supported the observance of Blood Donor Month in the province organized by the Philippine Red Cross Bataan.
Vice Governor Cris Garcia, past president of the club, and other officers and members joined the blood-letting activity held at Vista Mall on Friday.
PRC Bataan Chapter Administrator Charlie Gatbunton said 187 bags of blood were collected from sponsors and volunteers in the activity.
The vice governor through the Bataan Peninsula Lions Club, in partnership with PRC Bataan, has been conducting blood-letting activity every February since 2015 as a way of celebrating her birthday.
“By donating blood, we become saviors to others,” she said.
Aside from Garcia, Mariveles Mayor AJ Concepion, Orion Acting Mayor Virgilio Isidro, and Board Members Peping Villapando and Noel Valdecanas graced the activity.
Gatbunton thanked sponsors and volunteers for continuously supporting their activities.
