The unforgiving rains on Thursday despite, government offices, private companies, and schools—despite suspension of classes in most parts of Metro Manila because of the bad weather—went through the fourth Metro Manila shake drill at 1 pm with a text message alert sent to the public. Unlike in previous years, the Metro Manila Development Authority only informed the public of the unscheduled drill at noon.
