“This is being done under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) to alleviate the plight of our farmers in the region,” she said.

The CLOA distribution is part of the Regional Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Convention in Cagayan Valley recently conducted at the PLT Convention Center in Solano town and Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) in Bayombong town.

Ayson added that the CLOA beneficiaries in the province are part of the 1,157 recipients in provinces of Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino.

The DAR also turned over P87 million Common Service Facilities, Farm Machineries and Equipment, Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty Project, Food Processing Center Project and 3 Tulay ng Pangulo para sa Kaunlarang Pang–Agraryo.

DAR also launched the DAR-Land Bank of the Philippines Balai Magsasaka, featuring model houses for farmers, DAR-LBP Accessible and Sustainable Lending Program and the DSWD-DAR Convergence on Livelihood Assistance for ARB Project.

CARP seeks to empower ARBs to attain a dignified and improved quality of life through the equitable distribution of agricultural lands through the DAR and provide support services and economic opportunities through various government agencies such as support infrastructure and access to financing.
