Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya—Provincial administrator Maybelle Blossom Dumlao-Sevillena here has praised President Rodrigo Roa Duterte for approving their request for funding assistance intended to raise the quality of life among villagers in the province.
She said P370 million has been released recently for various infrastructure projects of 15 towns including the P100-million fund for the Ambaguio Road Development Project.
“We are very grateful for President Duterte’s approval of our funding allocation request last year. Right now, we are at the stage of implementing these projects already with funding counterpart from the provincial government,” Dumlao-Sevillena said.
She said the funded infrastructure projects were recommended earlier by the Provincial Development Council chaired by Gov. Carlos Padilla and the endorsement made by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
The P370-million fund was included in the proposed 2018 budget which was sent by PRRD in Congress for deliberation.
Dumlao-Sevillena said the P370 million proposed budget, however, was trimmed to P157 million and the ARDP settled to P95 million.
“Not all provinces in the country are fortunate to complete the requirements but with our teamwork and commitment, we were able to complete the requirements and gained support from President Duterte,” she added.
Dumlao-Sevillena said the villagers and project beneficiaries should be proud and grateful to the following agencies for the projects being implemented by the provincial government such as the Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of Budget and Management, Bureau of Treasury and President Duterte, among others.
