Rizal bust in Prague

Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Nestor Espenilla Jr. (left) and his wife Teresita attend the unveiling of the bust of Dr. Jose Rizal at the Czech National Bank, the central bank in Prague, Czech Republic on June 25, 2018. The unveiling was one of the highlights of his bilateral meeting with his counterpart, CNB Governor Jiøí Rusnok.  The Philippine national hero formed a lifelong friendship with Ferdinand Blumentritt, a scholar who studied Tagalog and published works on the Philippines. In 1887, Rizal visited Blumentritt who at that time was a professor in the City of Litomerice.
