Rubbing elbows with famous personalities

Embarking on a mission to meet all popular personalities and icons could be extremely exhausting, if not impossible. A particular museum, however, has been, for the past 200 years, allowing people to meet, greet, and take souvenir photos with famous figures, alive and dead. 

Basketball superstar Stephen Curry is one of the world-renowned athletes immortalized at the Champions Zone.

Madame Tussauds wax museum celebrates two centuries of immortalizing the world’s greatest icons, particularly royal and historical figures, religious leaders, artists, film stars, sports stars, and famous murderers. Marie Tussaud, its founder, previously created wax figures victims of French Revolution, criminals, and other famous individuals.

The closest Filipinos can get to the iconic wax museum is the one in Hong Kong. Madame Tussauds Hong Kong features diverse zones, each offering something for visitors to enjoy. 

Escape from the Hulk at the Animated Zone.

The most stylish stars serve as fashion inspiration at the Fashion Zone. Visitors can take posing cues from supermodel Kendall Jenner or become an Elle fashion magazine cover star for a day. A new augmented reality feature at this zone offers tips on upgrading personal style. 

Korean drama fans can reenact their favorite scenes at the K-wave Zone, where Kim Soo-hyun welcomes guests as the charming Professor Doo Min Joon from the beloved TV show My Love from the Star, along with Bae Yong-joon from the K-drama Winter Sonata, Lee Jong Suk from While We Were Sleeping, and Park Hae Jin from Man to Man. K-pop fans will also find their idols at the zone, including Suzy and Siwon. 

The K-Wave Zone also features a LED Dancing Game and a Korean Fashion Style Game.

Superstars of the sporting world come together at the Champions Zone. Visitors can try, and succeed, in outscoring basketball greats Stephen Curry and Yao Ming, mimic the forehand swing of Maria Sharapova, score a goal with David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo, and go toe to toe with the greatest boxer of all time, Muhammad Ali. 

The Music Icons Zone, on the other hand, features legends from different eras. Wax figures of The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift are displayed together for music fans of all ages. 

Mere mortals can literally rub elbows with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness Prince Philip at the Historical and National Heroes Zone. 

Favorite characters such as Hello Kitty and Marvel superheroes like the Hulk, Iron Man, and Spiderman come to life at the Animated World. 

Sing along with Taylor Swift at the Music Icons Zone.

Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is likewise home to the Yayoi Kusama Gallery. The gallery is an entire room dedicated to the world-renowned contemporary artist and multimedia collaborator and her signature polka dot-and-gourd motifs. The addition of mirror panels creates an illusion of infinite space. At the center sits Kusama herself, a figure of inspiration to hopefuls across different industries, from film to fashion to literature.
