Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya—Members of the Free and Accepted Masons of the Philippines-Magat Lodge and Order of the Amaranth-Sierra Madre Court No. 43 on Friday gave free school supplies to at least 160 schoolers in Barangay Masoc this town.
Giovanie Magat, worshipful master of Magat Lodge No. 68 said the activity is part of their yearly outreach program for the Dr. Candido Rosario Elementary School which was adopted by the fraternal organization a few years back.
“We are continuously giving the school their needs in terms of facilities, learning materials, and others to help the schoolers and teachers in attaining quality education,” he said.
Magat said a feeding program was also conducted to raise the nutritional status of the schoolchildren.
The Order of the Amaranth Sierra Madre Court also spearheaded a blood sugar, blood pressure check-up along with the distribution of free eyeglasses to the parents of the schoolers.
A LED Monitor was also given to the school to improve the learning and teaching environment among classes.
Magat said they will also construct a catwalk within the school compound for the benefit of the schoolers and teachers.
“This project will shed them during the rainy season. It will give them comfort and ease especially during the rainy season,” he said.
The organization has been pouring in various assistance to the school since its adoption ranging from school supplies, dental kits, used clothing, feeding program, improvement of their school stage and other financial donations, among others.
