Justice Boosters in must-win situation vs Sentinels

The DoJ Justice Boosters take on the Senate Sentinels in a crucial UNTV Cup Executive Face-Off game at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Pasig City Sports Center.

DoJ Head Coach Noli Mejo said the Boosters are determined to win their last two games in the elimination round in order to advance to the playoffs, along with the top three teams.

The Justice Boosters currently hold a 2-3 card.

“We need to win against the Senate and Malacañang-PSC to advance to the Final Four. We will probably improve our trapping defense and half-court defense,” said coach Noli Mejo.

The Sentinels, meanwhile, are raring to boost their current 3-2 record, hoping for the return of their ace players, Senators Joel Villanueva and Sonny Angara, who missed the games last week due to injury.

“They said they can’t play this game and then in the next two games, they will give everything. We really need to win the last two games to get to the Final Four,” Sentinels’ coach Mike Fermin said.

The DoJ-Senate clash will come after Judiciary Magis and GSIS Thunder Furies’ tussle at 2 p.m., while main game between the AFP Cavaliers and Malacañang-PSC-Kamao is set at 5 pm.
