NEA assumes control of Catanduanes co-op

The National Electrification Administration has taken over the management of the First Catanduanes Electric Cooperative and appointed an acting general manager to ensure uninterrupted electric service to member-consumers.

NEA tasked Andres to manage the day-to-day operations of the electric cooperative and ensure Ficelco’s operational efficiency.

Andres’ designation will cease after the appointment of a regular general manager subject to the confirmation by NEA.

Bishop Manolo delos Santos of Virac and the Catanduanes Sangguniang Panlalawigan earlier called on NEA to take over the operations of Ficelco to protect consumers.
