GENERAL TRIAS CITY—The local government led by Mayor Antonio “Ony” Ferrer has feted the city’s top 20 corporate taxpayers for real property and business taxes for 2017 as an incentive for private businesses and investors here during the first investor’s month celebration at the Bayleaf Hotel on Governor’s Drive in Barangay Manggahan.
House Technologies, Inc. topped the list of Top 20 Business Taxpayers, with Unilever Philippines, Inc. leading the Top 20 Real Property Taxpayers.
Vice Mayor Morit Sison and city councilors were also on hand to congratulate the taxpayers, based on City Ordinance Number 17-16, which institutionalized the city’s effort to strengthen relations with the private sector.
Ferrer said it was an effort of the GenTri LGU “to nurture the city’s locators with its co-players in the private and business sectors to maintain the city’s business-friendly environment and ensure sustainability of the city’s competitiveness.”
Aside from HTI, the other top 20 business taxpayers are Analog Devices General Trias, Inc.; Property Company of Friends, Inc.; American Power Conversion Corp.; The Purefoods Hormel Corp.; Unilever Phils, Inc.; Maxim Phils Operating Corp; Jae Phils, Inc.; Antel Holdings (Gen. Trias), Inc.;
Enomoto Phil Mfg Corp; HRD Singapore PTE LTD; Lyceum of the Phils University, Inc; Analog Devices Phils, Inc; Magnolia, Inc; Phils Advanced Processing Tech, Inc; Duraville Realty & Dev’t Corp; Summerhills Home Dev’t Corp; and Waltermart Supermarket, Inc.
The top 20 real property tax (RPT) taxpayers are Unilever Philippines, ProFriends; The Purefoods Hormel Corp; Can Asia, Inc; Banco De Oro-EPCI Inc; Monterey Farms Corp; Sta Lucia Realty & Devt Corp; 8990 Luzon Housing Dev’t Corp; SMC Yamamura Fuso Mold, Corp;

The General Trias Sangguniang Panglungsod enacted an ordinance declaring the month of March as “City of General Trias Investors’ Month” authored by Councilor Florencio Ayos, chair committee on commerce, trade and industry.
