Drum rockers

Japanese Samurai Drum Rockers called Drum Tao perform Tuesday at the Gateway Mall in Cubao, Quezon City, in their first appearance in public, with the Manila Standard the only broadsheet invited to witness the band play the taiko, a broad range of traditional Japanese percussion instruments. Adding a stronger appeal to Drum Tao are costumes designed by Junko Koshino, whose edgy and fashion-forward creations have gained international acclaim. The group last performed in Manila in 2012.
