Ace pitcher Ann Antolihao will spearhead the Tigresses as they try to close out the best-of-three series against the Falcons and nab their first championship for the first time in eight seasons at 9 a.m.

Adamson tries to end its own title drought in baseball against De La Salle in Game 2 scheduled at 12 noon.

Jerome Yenson will work again for the Falcons as they seek for their first crown since the 2009-10 season.

Antolihao had seven strikeouts and yielded only five hits to help UST beat Adamson University, 4-3, in the Finals opener last Tuesday.

It has been a while since Tigresses ruled the league in 2009-10, when Aiza dela Torre led them to their first-ever title.

Coach Sandy Barredo is hoping that they will finally pull through against the Lady Falcons.

But knowing coach Ana Santiago, Adamson will not just roll over and die, determined to force a championship decider on Tuesday.

The Falcons, meanwhile, scored a seven-inning 14-4 rout of the Green Batters in the Game 1 of the baseball championship series last Tuesday.

In five innings, Yenson outdueled De La Salle’s Kiko Gesmundo, striking out four batters while allowing only four hits, that left Adamson mentor Orlando Binarao satisfied.

Setting aside the forgettable opener, its far from over for coach Joseph Orillana, as the Falcons have just won one game, and the Green Batters have the capability of overcoming the twice-to-beat disadvantage to reclaim the throne.

A De La Salle win will send the Finals to a deciding Game 3 on Tuesday.
