PCAARRD starts IP protection plan

BALANGA CITY, Bataan”•The Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development is implementing a project to enhance intellectual property protection and management in state universities in the country.

“The project aims to identify linkages to enhance activities in intellectual property protection and management, technology transfer, and commercialization,” said Arlene Ibanez, Bataan Peninsula State University Innovation and Technology Service office manager.

BPSU is one of the nine universities included in the PCAARRD initiative.  Philippine Rice Research Institute, a research development institution, is also part of the project. Butch Gunio    

“The project also aims to capacitate state universities’   technology transfer officers and its Intellectual Property Management and Business Development Offices,” she added.
