GENERAL TRIAS, Cavite—The General Trias Sangguniang Panglungsod has enacted an ordinance declaring the month of March as “City of General Trias Investors’ Month.”
The ordinance’s purpose is to strengthen the partnership of the city government and the business community and to continually accelerate investment opportunities and buoy-up sustainable and environmental friendly businesses.
It also aims to promote a conducive and secure environment for business and social enterprises, and to recognize and pay tribute to investors as engine of economic prosperity and sustainable development of the city.
Vice Mayor and SP Presiding Officer Morit Sison and ordinance author Councilor Florencio Ayos, chairman of committee on commerce, trade and industry, together with councilors Constancia Felizardo, Mario Amante, Jowie Carampot, Hernando Granados, Kerby Salazar, Jonas Labuguen, Gary Grepo, Walter Martinez, Christopher Custodio and Vivencio Lozares Jr., sponsored the ordinance during a recent special session.
GenTri Investors’ Month will start this March and will constitute a one-month celebration with activities related to local success stories on investment and business.
The Local Economic and Investment Promotions Office under Romel Olimpo, with the assistance of the Business Permit and Licensing Office and the SP committee on commerce on trade and industry, will be the lead offices to manage and administer the overall implementation of the celebration.
The GenTri government led by Mayor Antonio “Ony” Ferrer aims to develop an information portal through its IT office to popularize the Investors’ Month, ensuring the success of the commemoration. One of the highlights of the revelry is the awarding of the top corporate taxpayers of the city.
Cavite 6th District Rep. Luis ‘Jon Jon’ Ferrer IV supported the ordinance.
