Metro Manila’s skyline sparkled even brighter this week as three Philippine-based hotels bagged the prestigious Forbes 2018 Travel Guide Five-Star Award.
Forbes Travel Guide chief executive officer Gerard Inzerillo said the “exceptional” awardees have “demonstrated a strong culture of service.”
“These properties have achieved an impeccable standard of excellence in hospitality, underscoring our overall mission of positively contributing to the international tourism industry as well as individual hotel experience,” he said.
Marco Polo Ortigas Manila and Solaire Resort and Casino’s Sky Tower secured the award for a second time in as many years—a difficult feat to accomplish as it requires consistency in luxurious service and personalized experience.
“It’s our second consecutive time to be on the list. We are very grateful to have been recognized once again as one of the finest. This really shows how we provide only the most exceptional service that create meaning with every encounter,” said Marco Polo Ortigas Manila general manager Frank Reichenbach.
Solaire senior vice president for Resort Operations Rajeh Jhingon said the coveted award affirms the hotel’s commitment to consistently provide top-of-the-line services to each of its guests.
“We are delighted that our hard work to become one the Philippines’s premier luxury destinations is coming to fruition,” Jhingon added.
Nüwa City of Dreams Manila clinched the prestigious Five-Star ranking for the first time, joining the ranks of the world’s best hotels and resorts.
“Nüwa represents Melco’s DNA of sophistication, quality, and innovation,” said Geoff Andres, who, until recently served as property president of City of Dreams Manila prior to assuming the same position in Studio City Macau early this month.
Seven Philippine-based properties were also accorded a Four-Star rating, namely Fairmont Makati, Hyatt City of Dreams Manila, Nobu Hotel Manila, Nüwa Spa Manila, The Peninsula Manila, Raffles Makati, and Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila.
Makati Shangri-La Manila and Pan Pacific Manila, on the other hand, received a “Recommended” rating.
