‘Sinulid Epilogue’ showcases collection of budding designers

Sinulid: Epilogue, a fashion show featuring creations from the top graduating students of the Fashion Design and Merchandising Program (FDM) of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB), was recently held at the SM Aura Samsung Hall.

Imma Colarina, Tajah Fuentes, Renzel Galleta, Patricia Gavan, Kelvin Morales, Miuccia Olivares, Andrea Suarez, Rosbert Villar, Vairo Velasco, and duo Abraham Guardian and Mamuro Oki aka HAMU each presented a six-piece collection, the highlight of which were stylized Philippine ternos inspired by the masterpieces of National Artist for Fashion Design Ramon Valera.

Each participant was influenced by various sources, to include particular color palettes and aesthetic, childhood memories, human indecisiveness, proportions and volumes, Japanese minimalism, the art of leaf weaving, the notoriety of a serial killer, a different take on androgyny and Hollywood glamor, a reevaluation of the impossible, and a clash of parallel universes.
