Minimalist style of millennial travelers

Blame it on their fascination to take OOTD photos in different locations, but today’s young generation sure knows what clothes to pack to maximize every photo opportunity when they’re travelling. 

Some of the cool kids in the Metro talk about their style while out exploring new destinations.

Cassie Reyes, 21

Girl-on-the-go Cassie likes wearing outfits that are easy to change in and out of. Juggling an Early Childhood Education major and a modeling career makes for a very busy schedule which is why her travel style centers on comfort and ease. “I like to play around with outerwear like jackets and long coats since they’re stylish but fits the bill of comfort,” she says. “They go with everything, you can wear them to any occasion, and it’s easy to pair it up with anything while still keeping one’s style.”

Anjo Lazaro, 28

Clean cut cutie Anjo likes keeping things simple. His everyday go-to are plain shirts for the ease of mixing it up with cool kicks. This telco executive enjoys styling his daily look. “I like mixing up different shades of color to come up with a look that’s personal yet minimal.”

Miguel Lasala, 28

Street wear connoisseur Miguel opts for long line tees, jeans, and sneakers. “It’s very comfy yet it never goes out of style.” he says. This self-confessed sneakerhead takes style inspiration from Pharell Williams and Kanye West. “My kind of style is the monochromatic look. It’s so easy to mix and match; and play it up with my shoes for the day,” he adds.

Lou Yanong, 20

Student and PMAP model Lou shares, “For me, comfort is a huge factor when it comes to clothing.” This Entrepreneurial Management student at MINT College goes for the off-duty model look mixing up oversized pieces with athleisure styling. “I like being everywhere so I wear clothes that will help me move. I like being different. I absolutely think my personal style helps me to stand out from the crowd.”
