Manila Brotherhood Basketball League opens today

JUNIOR basketball teams from various schools, colleges and universities in Metro Manila will see action in six division games as  the Manila Brotherhood Basketball League Athletic Incorporated opens today at the Trinity University of Asia Gym in Quezon City.

Fourty-one teams with their respective muses will parade their colors during the opening ceremonies at 9 a.m., to be graced by sports celebrities, led by Philippine Basketball Association superstar Arwind Santos of San Miguel Beer, according to league top brass and Brotherhood Basketball founder Erick Kirong of Macway.

Kid basketeers from San Beda College and De La Salle Zobel will show their wares in the opening salvo at 10 a.m. in 13-under division followed by RP Elite vs San Beda Taytay in the 12-under.

  Dragon Five will test the Mendiola dribblers of San Beda College  in the 17-under at 12 noon, while Arandia College vs SBC Mendiola will follow in the 19- under.

Powerhouse teams DLSU Antipolo and Trinity University of Asia will collide at 2 p.m., capping the action-filled opening games of the event organized by BBL and managed by basketball operations head Ray Alao.
