Effects of NV financial aid studied

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya”•Provincial officials and technical working group will look into the economic effects of P8.7 million in livelihood funds previously given by the provincial government to 941 poor families from 2013 to 2016.

“This is part of our evaluation and assessment if the recipients of livelihood assistance and incentives have been living up to the standards. Members of the PSCWC will supervise an evaluation and assessment of  the livelihood assistance and incentives under the  Search for the Most Child-Friendly Barangays and Idol Kong Entrepreneurs this month, as part of the activities lined-up for the National Children’s Month celebration in the province.

Under the Search for Child-Friendly Barangays, organized Barangay Councils for the Protection of Children will be evaluated based on their functionality and operational status, as evidenced by the implementation of programs, projects and activities in support of the welfare and protection of children.

Awardees will receive P35,000 from Governor Carlos Padilla aside from P30,000 as provincial winners, P25,000 as first runner-up, P20,000 as second runner-up and P10,000 each for consolation prizes.

The Search for “Idol Kong Entrepreneur,” which also encourages families to use livelihood funds and improve them to support the welfare and protection of their children also offers cash incentives, among others.

It requires from the families a business plan and profile of their families as priority and initial requirement before they are given livelihood funds by the provincial government.
