New public library

Parañaque Mayor Edwin Olivarez and City Librarian Cisette Ricardo inaugurated Monday the new four-story public library and museum of Barangay Sto. Niño. The library has over 10,000 books in the main collection and donations from private individuals, a sizable Filipiniana section, periodicals, and local history and archives. Located along Col. E. de Leon Street in Sto. Niño, the library also houses a cafe, a children’s corner, a function room, computers for public use and free internet access. Assisting Olivarez during the simple inauguration (inset photo) are Parañaque Rep. Eric Olivarez, City First Lady Janet Olivarez, barangay chairman Johnny Co, and city councilors.
