For this Fall-Winter 2017, inspiration is drawn from iconic British music legends, at a time when style and originality represented the true spirit of being modern. We look to mavericks with style cues that raised the bar and expressed their individuality fearlessly. “Staying sharp and being original” has always been a mod mantra that remains as relevant today as it was in 1963.
Across three key themes Future Mod, Working Class Hero and Modern Dandy the collection tells a cohesive story of British sport meets Tailoring. With this in mind key looks are sharp sport jackets and jersey, combined with tailored items—which can be dressed up or down with semi-formal footwear to give a sporty edge. Sateen sport coach jackets with snap fronts are paired with tailored jogging pants featuring military inspired stripes. Leading colour palettes are military green, tobacco and auburn along with federal blue, peach, optic white and grass green.
Vintage military surplus is worn over sharp tailored suits. A mix of wool blends and cotton bonded parkas and button down shirts feature mod patches. Plush fabrics feature lumberjack checks, refined wools, and oversized ginghams. Double breasted blazers are paired with flattering tapered slim leg trousers that are accessorised with a felt fedora, driving cap or Gatsby style hats.
