BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya—More than 130 schoolers and their teachers here were given medical insurance recently by the officers and members of Free and Accepted Masons of the Philippines Magat Lodge No. 68 and Sierra Madre Court No. 43.
Gilieou Michael Dimoloy, Magat Lodge worshipful master, said the assistance is part of the annual benefits given to the Dr. Candido Rosario Jr. Elementary School in barangay Upper Magsaysay in this town, being an adopted school of the organization for many years.
“These schoolers and their teachers walk through dangerous terrains and upland pathways daily just to attend their classes and this insurance is a fitting help in case they will meet accidents and emergencies along the way,” he said.
The F & AMP and Sierra Madre Court No. 43 members also conducted a feeding program for the schoolers, who are mostly members of Kalanguya and Kankanaey tribes.
Two TV Monitors were also given to the DCRES to further boost the quality of education among upland school children.
Dimoloy said more projects and activities are lined up for the school to improve its educational services for the upland schoolers.
