BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya—The Department of Social Welfare and Development has allotted more than P31 million for the social pension of elderly in the province.
Jane Pumaras, DSWD’s Sustainable Livelihood Program provincial coordinator, said the fund will benefit 21,053 senior citizens in the municipalities of Ambaguio, Aritao, Sta. Fe, Kasibu, Kayapa, Alfonso Castaneda, Diadi, Bagabag, Solano, Villaverde, Quezon, Bayombong, Bambang, Dupax del Sur and Dupax del Norte towns.
“All municipalities with cash pay-out and fund transfer have already conducted their first and second quarter pay-out. Schedule of third quarter pay-out for cash-pay out municipalities will be by July 2017,” she said.
Pumaras also said 27 active and validated centenarians will receive their P100,000 benefit as provided by law from DSWD this year.
The centenarians will come from the towns of Ambaguio, Aritao, Bambang, Bayombong, Diadi, Dupax del Norte, Dupax del Sur, Kasibu, Quezon, Sta. Fe, Solano and Villaverde.
