Generals eye semis stint in NCAA’s Season 93

LAST summer, Emilio Aguinaldo College coach Ariel Sison and members of his coaching staff made a lot of effort in sharpening the skills of the team’s second stringers and rookies.

They played most of their pre-season in the Fr. Martin Cup summer tournament without their injured key players.

With Season 93 of the National Collegiate Athletic Association already under way, Sison expects to see results and improvements.

“Mas nahasa ang team, mas lumalim ang rotation ko,” said Sison.

In the coming days, the Generals are hoping they can do better than their  6-12 win-loss record last year.

With key players Francis Munsayac, Sidney Onwuberre and Hamadou Laminou returning to action, they want to get off to a bright start in the new season.

Sison is upbeat of the rookies he found to replace veterans Igee King and  Jorem Morada, who have graduated.

He now has a shooter in Jethro Mendoza, who came from EAC-Cavite, while Dagupan find Tristan Bugarin and former Adamson standout Jerome Garcia can help out in the wings and at the point.

Garcia, a point guard, is expected to help provide leadership with Munsayac, in an effort to boost EAC’s Final Four bid.

“Iyun ang pangarap namin, Final 4. We will do our best,” said Sison.

The rest of the Generals’ roster is made up of rookie Renz Tampoc of Lyceum, Sean Neri, Raymund Pascua, Irvin Mendoza, John Diego, John Corilla, Jervin Guzman, Jesse Bautista and Haspee Altache.
