Wattah-wattah

Residents of San Juan City on Saturday celebrate the annual 'Wattah-Wattah Festival,' a long-held tradition observed every 24th of June, which is also the feast of St. John the Baptist, the city's patron saint. During the festival, residents, visitors and even passersby get splashed with water, which takes its inspiration from the Biblical account of Jesus' baptism by St. John the Baptist in Jordan River.
