BALANGA CITY, Bataan—The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines has donated school supplies to students in an elementary school in this city.
Grades 1 to 3 of Barrio Central Elementary School were given school supplies through the transmission company’s program “Gamit ni Bulilit.”
A total of 170 students each received a bag of school supplies containing 10 composition notebooks, paper and pencil.
“This is big help for us poor parents,” resident Laila Ramos said.
Ramil Cubales, school principal, said he is grateful to NGCP for choosing their school to benefit from the company’s “Gamit ni Bulilit” program.
Lida May Lopez, NGCP Head of the Corporate Initiative Division, pointed out education is a priority under their corporate social responsibility outreach program.
“This simple act of kindness from NGCP will somehow lessen the burden of parents in providing school supplies for their children,” Cubales said.
