THE BOC Transformers and Judiciary Magis take on each other at 2 p.m. on Sunday in an effort to grab their first win in the UNTV Cup Off Season Executive Face Off at Pasig City Sports Center.
Last week, General Ronald ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa’s team, PNP Responders, beat the team of Customs Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon overwhelmingly, 82-37.
BOC Coach Kenneth Duremdes said they will try to improve the team’s performance this Sunday.
“Our goal is to improve. Hopefully, all the other players will be present during the game. For me, in this Executive Face Off, it’s more of a numbers’ game because there are players that are aged. So if you have many players, you’ll have many rotation, the better,” said Duremdes.
But the Judiciary Magis is equally determined to bounce back from defeat.
Judiciary Magis Assistant Coach Warren Ybanez said: “We will lessen our turnovers. We had so much of them in our previous game.”
The Judiciary Magis tasted their first loss of the off-season at the hands of the DOJ Justice Boosters, 56-50.
The Magis were lead by Court Administrator Jose Midas Marquez who piled up 16 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals. Florida Blanca, Pampanga Presiding Judge Wendell Ramiterre had 14 points and 4 rebounds.
Customs chiefs Atty. Rey Rolando Bergado put up 11 points and six rebounds and Rafael Crisol Jr. had 15 points, 5 rebounds.
