Tense situation

Police and military troops secure the  Parang Police station after 50 Moro Islamic Liberation Front members harassed a police station by firing their guns into the air.  The police station was manned by Police Chief Insp. Erwin  Tabora as the rest of his men were attending the burial of a fellow policeman. Taboraís team from the Regional Public Safety Company on Sunday arrested MILF Kumander Dimauntay and confiscated his firearm. The police later released the rebel leader, but kept his firearm.  Dimauntay's group has demanded the return of the firearm, sparking tension in the town of Parang in Maguindanao. Mark Navales
