“It’s hard to argue with Peping Cojuangco,” said Philippine Sports Commission (PSC)commissioner Mon Fernandez. “So I’m giving him the opportunity to prove all his accusations against me in a proper forum.”
Cojuangco, long-time president of the Philippine Olympic Committee, accused Fernandez of game-fixing when he was still an active player in the Philippine Basketball Association.

Fernandez drew the ire of Cojuangco for criticizing the latter’s perpetuation of power and questioning his leadership in the POC.
The PBA legend, who played for Toyota, Tanduay and San Miguel in the pro league, vowed to file libel suit at a court in Cebu against the former congressman from Tarlac.
