About 300 rogue policemen have arrived at the PNP Headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City from different police districts in Metro Manila.

They were on board 6X6 trucks.

They began to arrive at 9 am on Tuesday.

PNP National Capital Region Office (NCRPO) Director Oscar Albayalde says, the total number of erring cops is 387, but cops who will be brought to Malacañang will number to just about 300, since some of them have gone AWOL (absence without leave).

The policemen will be made to clean Pasig River of waterlilies.

Albayalde says, “kahit maglilinis sa Pasig River (even if they will clean up Pasig River), it does not absolve them of criminal and administrative charges. Maybe it is part of their punishment, but they will still face criminal liabilities.”

PNP Chief Ronald dela Rosa had wanted the erring cops to undergo ‘retraining’ but this plan was rejected by President Rodrido Duterte.

The President, instead, ordered Dela Rosa to present the cops in the Palace and make them remove waterlilies that prevent his boat from crossing Pasig River.
