After opening its second branch on Timog Ave. in Quezon City in August, Anthony Taberna and wife Rossel are unstoppable in their plans for Ka Tunying’s Café (KTC) to spread sumptuous Pinoy cuisine with a twist.
Now, KTC is giving travelers a smile on their faces before boarding their flights to their respective destinations. The power couple has just opened KTC’s newest branch at NAIA Terminal 3.
Branching out to airports is KTC’s way of reaching out to fellow Filipinos leaving for other countries and arriving home. The Tabernas want them to have a taste of Pinoy cuisine before they leave or right after they step back on Philippine soil.
How about those who don’t have any scheduled flights?
Not to worry. You don’t need to have a booked trip to enter NAIA Terminal 3. It is open to the public and you can visit anytime.
KTC’s passion for serving Filipino food has been fueled by followers and patrons clamoring for branches within the South’s reach. From a provincial bakery, to metro bazaars, to supermarket consignments and now to three branches of full service restaurants, and from serving Pinoy inspired tinapay (bread) and inumin (drinks), KTC is now serving Pinoy fusion of the everyday, favorite main entrees.
As the café expands, the food choices also grow. The list of food will bring you back to your childhood favorites and memories of luto ni nanay, champorado with tuyo, chicken arroz caldo, the famous Pancit ni Nanay Benny and so much more.
KTC also have a fusion of Italian and Pinoy cuisine such as Kalabasa Lasagna, Tinapa Carbonara, Pasta Ashitaba, Tuyo and Kangkong Pasta, among others. They also have innovative drinks such as palamig named Ligaya, Pag-ibig, Paraiso and smoothies such as Smoothie Bungbong and more mouthwatering meals from agahan, meryenda, tanghalian, hapunan, inumin and other Pinoy panghimagas.
After KTC gained its popularity after being featured in various Lifestyle TV shows, the Tabernas decided to take their business to higher notch. They are now also open for franchising.
