There are only a few occasions when TNS Kantar and AGB Nielsen agree with their numbers that’s why when they released the ratings data on Monday we were surprised to see that the new Kapuso show was leading the ratings race. Not only Meant To Be won the numbers game, it also trended on social media flooding Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. It’s a pronounced sign that the viewers anticipated Barbie Forteza’s comeback on primetime.

If you’re 35 and you’re in showbiz, you’re screwed as you’re considered too old to be a leading man/lady.. But while most aging actors already struggle to be cast in drama shows and movies, this former matinee idol is on TV and the movies and continue to receive offers. The 41-year-old actor is back on the boob tube with Bea Alonzo. He also has a movie coming up, which he shares the top billing with Iza Calzado. Mr. Buenavista is definitely on a roll and for him, age is just a number.

Amid its exclusion from the recently concluded Metro Manila Film Festival, producers of the comedy film are laughing all the way to the bank. Six weeks after it hit commercial theaters, the Vice Ganda and Coco Martin-starrer film is now considered the biggest Filipino film of all time. It grossed a total of P590 million domestically and internationally with a few theaters still showing the Star Cinema production as of this writing. Apparently, many people still enjoy the kind of comedy Vice dishes out.

People…are not talking about

Tito Sotto

He’s been in showbiz for decades and it’s surprises that he doesn’t know we have a number of indie films festivals all year round. In an effort to make MMFF revert back to its old ways, he filed a bill to prevent the festival from entertaining indie films to be part of the annual event. If we know, he just wanted his brother’s film to be part of the film fest again. Shocked by this ludicrous move, one of our friends commented that he should have just called it Enteng Kabisote Bill. Oh well, what can we expect from the actor-politician? We even don’t understand why he’s in that position to begin with.

Mocha Uson

All right…the woman of the hour has made headlines since the new administration took office. We can’t blame them giving her an important role in MTRCB, what we don’t understand is why she wholeheartedly accepted the assignment. She’s said several times before that she wouldn’t accept any appointment from the President because she’s genuine in her advocacy to make the entertainment industry better. Many question her appointment but they have no choice now. She’s got one year to annoy you, guys.

Keempee de Leon

Up until now he still clueless as to why he was expelled from Eat Bulaga 13 years after being one of its co-hosts. His father is still in the show, why didn’t he ask him. It’s peculiar that he doesn’t have at least a small hint why the management doesn’t want him anymore. We guess number 13 is an unlucky number for him.
