San Pedro, Laguna—Local police have formed a Special Investigation Task Group to probe a policeman who shot dead an unarmed man that was allegedly high on drugs.
The incident, which was caught on a video that has gone viral, showed PO3 Reynaldo Dizon accosting and subsequently shooting the victim, identified as Sharief Amatonding, at close range.

Police investigators led by PO3 Francis Tabile claimed the victim, who was being unruly outside the Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. branch here on Friday, tried to grab Dizon’s service firearm.
