Its production hub, D5STUDIO Originals, focuses on original digital content revolving around Filipino pop culture, entertainment, and music.
“Since our launch last year, our D5STUDIO Originals has been parading the new breed of digital programming that has been braving the online content landscape with unconventional show themes and formats,” noted D5Studio vice president and head Lloyd Manaloto.
Staying true to this quest is the success of Forever Sucks, an online series that tells the story of Izabel (Jasmine Curtis-Smith), a 170-year-old vampire.
Season 2 premiered on Halloween with a new plot twist, as Izabel finally gives up on her life-long search for everlasting love. That is, until she encounters Kiko (Felix Roco), the new guy at the office who successfully tugs at all her emotional strings. Will her love woes end, or will Kiko change Izabel’s mind for good?
The guys behind the series feels at this point they are good on the web. “We don’t think we can migrate to mainstream television yet, as our demographics points to millennials that enjoy their entertainment on their mobiles or tablets. Someday, perhaps.”
Forever sucks, indeed.
