Ginebra wins first championship trophy after 8 years

Barangay Ginebra has won the Governors’ Cup finals over Meralco.

The Gin Kings defeated Meralco Bolts in Game Six following a three-point shot from import Justin Brownlee.

This is the team’s first champioship victory after 8 years of title drought.

This also gives Barangay Ginebra its 9th PBA title.

The basketball game was held at Smart-Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Wednesday night.
