Mt. Bulusan spews ash for 2nd time this week

A phreatic explosion occurred once again over Mount Bulusan in Sorsogon.

This happened at 4:58 am Wednesday.

PHIVOLCS says, about 0.3 millimeters to 0.5 millimeters of ash fell on some barangays near the volcano.

Sorsogon’s Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) sees no need to order an evacuation of residents but it is advising them to wear face masks and use wet towels.

Mt. Bulusan also spewed ash two days ago.
