President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to finish off the Abu Sayyaf (ASG).
He made this declaration as he spoke in front of the Philippine Army's First Infrantry Division in Zamboanga del Sur on Wednesday afternoon.

He said, “there won’t be talks. Destroy them. They are terrorists.”
This is the first time the President gave a direct order to the military on how it should handle the bandit group.
He also promised to double the salaries of the soldiers.
