Luzon placed on yellow power alert anew

Luzon is on yellow power alert right now.

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) says, the alert status indicates that low power reserve is in effect from 10 am on till 4pm on Monday.

Operations of several power plants in Luzon have shut down.

The NGCP is urging consumers to save on electricity.

Senate previously stated its intention to probe the frequent occurences of yellow and red alert status in Luzon's power grid.
