Kapuso Premier Actress Lovi Poe remains a loyal Kapuso after signing another three-year exclusive contract with GMA Network, Inc.
Present in the contract signing were GMA Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, GMA Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe S. Yalong, and other network officers, and Poe’s manager Leo Dominguez.
After the contract signing, Lovi said she is very happy to renew her contract with GMA-7, her home network in the last 10 years.
“I’m just happy na nandito ako ngayon. Nagpapasalamat ako dahil palagi nila akong binibigyan ng opportunity to work on what I’m really passionate about, which is acting and performing in front of the people who are supporting me. GMA has always been my home.”
Poe headlines the upcoming primetime series Someone To Watch Over Me with Tom Rodriguez and Max Collins. This is the first TV project that Poe and Rodriguez are paired and she is excited to share with their fans the upcoming television series.
“Sobrang excited ako kasi first time ko to work with Tom. We already started taping and first time namin na magkaroon ng malalalim and intimate na mga eksena. Napakahusay ni Tom kaya excited ako sa mga susunod pang eksena na darating. Nagulat ako kasi napakagaling niya. So, I’m really looking forward to sharing it with everybody.”
Someone to Watch Over Me is an original series that tackles the early onset of Alzheimer’s disease. According to Lovi, the audience will learn many things about this condition, which is a disease normally associated with old age.
“Siguro it’s time we actually show people and make them aware about this illness. Kasi usually parang naiisip natin na when people get older nagiging malilimutin na sila pero it’s a certain disease na nangyayari rin pala hindi lang sa may edad kundi sa mga kabataan din.”
Apart from this TV series, she is also set to release an album this year and is busy with her movie projects.
Atty. Gozon has nothing but praises for Lovi and considers her as one of the most beautiful and talented stars of the network, “Tayo naman ay nagagalak dahil napili tayo ni Lovi sapagkat at least para sa atin hindi lamang napakagandang artista ni Lovi kundi magaling din. Kaya nasa kanya ang dalawang katangian na hinahanap ng bawat nagpo-produce ng programa.”
