FIL-AMERICAN sprinter Eric Cray broke the national record again in the men’s 400-meter hurdles.

He did it for the second time this year when Cray went below 49 second-mark in the 2016 World Athletics’ Challenge meet in Madrid last June 23, according to results released on the meet’s official website.

Cray ran it in 48.98 seconds to earn the silver behind American Jeshua Anderson, who took the gold in 47.83 seconds. Sergio Fernandez of Spain took the bronze in 49.07 seconds.

This kept Cray on track for his preparations for the coming 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.

Anderson is the 2011 World University Games champion and the titleholder in the world juniors as well.
