Dr. Rizza Salinas, head veterinarian of the Wildlife Rescue Center of the Biodiversity Management Bureau examines a Philippine eagle turned over recently by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in Dingalan, Aurora. The eagle was rescued by an upland farmer in Aurora from a trap intended for monkeys. Salinas later declared the eagle in overall good condition despite a broken feather shaft and the stress from its short captivity and long journey to Quezon City.
