Chris Botti and Sting at Resorts World Manila

Premier lifestyle and entertainment destination Resorts World Manila (RWM), in cooperation with Hi Definition Radio Inc., presents an exclusive one-night only event that will truly make for an unforgettable gift as Grammy award winner, trumpeter, and composer Chris Botti takes the stage for up close and personal at the Marriott Grand Ballroom, 8 p.m. on March 3. The show also features Sting.

Since the release of his 2004 critically acclaimed CD When I Fall In Love, Chris Botti has become the largest-selling American instrumental artist.  His success has crossed over to audiences usually reserved for pop music and his ongoing association with PBS has led to four no.1 jazz albums, as well as multiple Gold, Platinum and Grammy Awards.  Most recently, his latest album Impressions won the Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental Album at the 2013 55th Grammy Awards.  Performing worldwide and selling more than four million albums, he has found a form of creative expression that begins in jazz and expands beyond the limits of any single genre.

Grammy Award-winning musician, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, activist, actor, and philanthropist Sting was the principal songwriter, lead singer, and bassist for the new wave rock band The Police from 1977 to 1983, before launching a successful solo career with hits such as “Fragile”, “Englishman in New York”, “Fields of Gold”, “If I Ever Lose My Faith in You”, and “Brand New Day” to name a few.

As a solo musician and a member of The Police, Sting is one of the world’s best-selling music artists. He has received 16 Grammy Awards, his first for best rock instrumental in 1984, three Brit Awards, including Best British Male in 1994 and Outstanding Contribution in 2002, a Golden Globe, an Emmy, and three Academy Award nominations for Best Original Song. He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2002 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Police in 2003. Most recently, he received a Tony nomination for his score written for the Broadway musical, The Last Ship.

The post-Valentine concert brings together for the first time in the Philippines two iconic musicians of contemporary pop and jazz in a one-of-a-kind intimate setting for audiences via stage seats.

The unique VIP seating provides 60 guests the opportunity to sit on the stage while Botti and Sting perform their greatest hits.

“This concert has a unique value proposition,” said Martin Paz, chief Integrated Marketing officer, Resorts World Manila.  “Unlike other shows with VIP seating that are typically restricted to front row seats, meet-and-greets, or autograph signing sessions, we now take things to a whole new level wherein those in stage seats get to watch the concert on the stage itself and just a breath away from the artists.”

Ticket prices start at Php11,000 for Bronze, Php17,000 for Silver, Php28,000 for Gold, Php34,000 for VIP, and Php40,000 for SVIP.

For Stage Seats, contact the RWM Sales team at 0917-8728012. As the Marriott Grand Ballroom has a 3,180 seat capacity for this intimate show, which is relatively limited compared to arena concerts, tickets are expected to sell out quickly due to the unique opportunity it presents Botti and Sting fans.

Tickets for Chris Botti with special guest Sting Up Close and Personal are now available at the Resorts World Manila Box Office (632) 908-8000 loc. 7700 and TicketWorld (632) 891-9999. RWM members may exclusively avail of two VIP tickets by earning points from Jan.15 until Feb.15.
