EIGHT-DIVISION world champion, congressman Manny Pacquiao and his wife Jinkee, vice governor of Sarangani Province, left Los Angeles on a flight to London, along with the Filipino’s long-time adviser Michael Koncz for a private dinner with Prince Harry, who is fourth in line to the British throne.

The dinner with Prince Harry comes a few days after a possible opponent Amir Khan met with Prince Harry’s father, the Prince of Wales.

The Daily Mail Online reported that Prince Charles and Khan were in the north-east to support a National Citizens Service project, which enables youngsters to help older people learn about social media.

Emma Glanfield reported that the Prince of Wales and the world-famous boxer “swapped tales of their sporting wounds at the event in Sunderland and discovered that the royal had in fact sustained more injuries than the ex-world light welterweight champion.”

Koncz told the Manila Standard/Viva Sports that he would use the opportunity to discuss a possible fight between Pacquiao and Khan should the May 2 showdown with Floyd Mayweather Jr. isn’t resolved by the Jan. 31 deadline set by the Filipino for the American to sign a contract.

Mayweather’s strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza, who was one of the guests at the screening of the documentary “Manny” in Los Angeles, insisted the fight won’t happen this May and as is customary with the Mayweather camp, put the blame on Top Rank promoter Bob Arum.
