THE market’s highest-performance 6-core Processor—the AMD Ryzen 5 desktop processor is now here.
On the heels of the global release of its award-winning Ryzen 7 in March, Advanced Micro Devices launched all four models of its new high-performance Ryzen 5 series, which introduces disruptive levels of computing performance at a variety of price points.
The Ryzen 7 featured record-breaking overclocking performance, this after four years and thousands of hours of development marking AMD’s return to the desktop computing market. And the tech manufacturer isn’t slowing down just yet.
Featuring outstanding multitasking capabilities, the Ryzen 5 adapts to individual needs with incredible responsiveness and performance, which trumps the Intel flagship Core i5 by 87 percent in performance.
“AMD Ryzen is a proven game-changer, ultimately bringing innovation and competition back across PC market segments, and we are excited to introduce the next tier of AMD Ryzen processors to the market today,” said Jim Anderson, senior VP and GM of AMD.
The new line of processors and graphic cards were presented to members of the media at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria just last week.
There are two 6-core and 4-core AMD Ryzen 5 available, all featuring simultaneous multithreading technology and will support the new AM4 infrastructure. The Ryzen 5 starts at P9,250.00 for the 1400 model while the 1600X will retail at P13,800.
Meanwhile, AMD unveiled the Radeon™ RX 500 series, a new line of graphic card featuring a powerful combination of improved game performance, higher clock speeds, and a refined 2nd generation Polaris architecture.
PC gamers can now enjoy an optimal gaming experience, smooth VR performance, and the latest display technologies. The Radeon RX 500 boasts the most compelling new features such as optimized DirectX 12 and Vulkan gaming.
Moreover, the graphics card has improved response times, more efficiency and cooler operation with Radeon Chill. Gamers will also delight in the awesome streaming and sharing capabilities with gameplay capture through Radeon ReLive.
