‘Maring’ disrupts Batangas-Bolboc line

The National Grid Corp. of the Philippines on Tuesday reported that its Batangas-Bolboc 69-kilovolt line was affected by Tropical Depression “Maring” resulting in outages in parts of Batangas City.

NGCP said among the affected customers are Manila Electric Co. First Bay Power, Batangas City Water District and First Philippine Industrial Corp. at 1:23 p.m. Tuesday.

“Inspection and restoration of lines in the affected areas will be in full swing as soon as the weather allows,” said NGCP, operator of the country’s power transmission network.
